To further my research, I felt that it would be good to create questions related to my topic. This will serve to remind me what to look for as I dig deeper into the topic of retro culture. By the end of my initial research, I plan to be able to answer these questions. Here are the following questions;

  1. Why are the 2000s deemed as an “an era that is a mix of others before it”? Why do we not have any trends that define us?

  2. Does technology play a role as to why retro culture is so heavily influencing millennials and Gen z?

  3. If any different aspects of the past are being recycled, how do new generations change it to make it their own? What does millennials and Gen z do to revamp old ideas?

  4. Are people overwhelmed with the many different things technology can do? Is this a reason why people are so influenced to like older simpler technology?

  5. Is fashion in a constant loop throughout the generations? Which generations were the original creators of iconic pieces of clothing?

  6. Will the next generation be influenced by retro culture as millennials and gen z were? Or will gen Alpha advance to their own trends?

  7. When it  comes to retro music, is it easier to replicate with the use of technology?

  8. What other factors other than the internet are influencing recent generations to make nostalgia a trend on its own?

  9. How are influencers and cool hunters responsible for the ongoing marketing of nostalgia?
