The married artists from Germany began doing art in the 1960s. They are most famous for their landscape works, most of which were of industries. To capture a particular structure the couple took multiple pictures of the same place. When the pictures were all together there was a sense of the structure that one photo could not do on its own. This style was called Typologies and can be seen at various exhibits including at the Moma. This idea of gathering different parts of a certain place to create one whole image is very interesting and a nice way to understand the space they worked in. Not only this but being able to have each photo work with the other to create this overall image is a great use of their location.
